DFIC Error 150 - Related Party Not Defined

SUMMARY

This error indicates that a record has been encountered with a related party that does not exist in the Related Party file.

RESOLUTION

This error can be corrected by using one of the following options:

• Add the missing related party back into the Related Party File. The Related Party Key field must be identical to what is shown in the record with the error. Once the related party is added, reindex the Related Party file with the Compact Selected Files check box selected.
  Note: If after reindexing the Related Party File with Compact Selected Files the Data File Integrity Check returns DFIC Error 158, this indicates the cross reference link between the Related Party and the Journal entry was not corrected. Change the Related Party in the Journal record, save the record, and then change it back to the correct Related Party and save the record again.
• Edit the record indicated in the Data File Integrity Check Error Report by entering a valid related party in the field. You can use the Data File Integrity Check Error Report drill-down feature to access the record.
• If the record indicated by the Data File Integrity Check Error Report is not needed, delete the record. You can use the Data File Integrity Check Error Report drill-down feature to access the record.
• If none of the above options worked, restore from a backup.
