DFIC Error 158 - Related Party Lookup Field Does Not Point to a Cross Reference Record

The information in this article applies to:

• PracticeMaster Version 15, 14, 12, 11 & 10

SUMMARY

This error indicates that the CMRELATE.DAT or CMRELATE.IDX file is corrupt.

RESOLUTION

This error can be corrected by using one of the following options:

• Restore all files from a good backup.
• If the CMRELATE.IDX file is corrupt, you can reindex the Related Party file with the Compact Selected Files check box selected. However, if the CMRELATE.DAT file is corrupt, you must restore all files from a good backup.
• If this error is being reported after reindexing the Related Party file with Compact Selected Files to correct DFIC Error 150, this indicates the cross reference link between the Related Party and the Journal entry was not corrected. Change the Related Party in the Journal record, save the record, then change it back to the correct Related Party and save the record again.
