Overview

The Tabs3 Device Interface software, also known as TBDevice, is a Windows interface program that provides the ability to convert data from a cost recovery system or third party data file so it can be imported into Tabs3 for billing purposes. Cost recovery systems consist of other vendors' hardware and software used to capture data from systems such as telephones, photocopiers, fax machines, and more for the purpose of recovering costs. The Tabs3 Device Interface software converts other vendors' data into a format that is compatible with the Merge Tabs3 Remote Data program provided in Tabs3. The Merge Tabs3 Remote Data program is then used to merge transactions into Tabs3.

Software Technology, Inc., provides interface programs for many other cost recovery systems that have not yet been ported over to the Windows Tabs3 Device Interface software. Cost

The Tabs3 Device Interface retails for $150 and includes all formats supported at the time of purchase. If a new format is needed, the cost is billable at $200 per hour. Costs to create a new format typically range from $2,000 to $2,500. Users who already have the Tabs3 Device Interface and need to update it as a result of a new format having been added can do so for $25 if on maintenance or $50 if not on maintenance. Trial software is available at no charge via CD.
