Instructions to
Upgrade/Downgrade to a Level of Tabs3
with Fewer Timekeepers
The level of Tabs3 that you are installing allows fewer timekeepers than the level of Tabs3 you currently are using. Before installing this newer level of Tabs3, do the following:
Note: The Data File Integrity Check will encounter error 95s (invalid timekeeper) if there are any verification lists with the old timekeeper number. Any verification lists with the old timekeeper number should first be printed and then deleted to prevent these errors from occurring.
Renumbering Timekeepers After Installing/Converting
Once you’ve converted/installed Tabs3, if your Tabs3 data contains timekeeper numbers greater than the new limit, a message similar to the following will be displayed when you first start Tabs3:If this message is displayed when Tabs3 is started, print a list of timekeepers (if you don’t have a current list) and renumber the higher timekeeper numbers at this time.
DO NOT IGNORE THIS RENUMBERING MESSAGE!!
You MUST renumber the timekeepers at this time. This is the only time the software will let you access the higher numbered timekeepers. Failure to renumber timekeepers will result in having to restore from a backup and reinstall/reconvert or have Software Technology, Inc. fix your data for a fee.
