Easier logon requires User ID and Password only when the first system is
started (i.e., you only need to logon once for all systems per workstation).

Added the ability for any manager to lock out all users from all software
so the manager can perform exclusive tasks.

Added mouse wheel support to all Lookup windows and the Preview window.
Improved Data Entry

Redesigned the data entry windows to enhance data entry and editing capabilities.

Redesigned the client data entry program in Tabs3 and PracticeMaster to
be more intuitive, better organized, and provide a better flow of information.

Added the ability to display a ledger of transactions at the bottom of
the transaction data entry window making it easy to view and edit transactions
(i.e., fees, costs, invoices, journal entries, etc.). Various totals are
shown at the bottom of the list. Double-clicking an item in the list automatically
retrieves that transaction in the data entry form.

Added User ID and Date Entered fields to fees, costs, payments, journal
entries, trust transactions, invoices, etc. for audit purposes.

Added support for international phone numbers along with Phone Dialer support
for the Microsoft Outlook phone number format.

Increased the e-mail field length.
Greatly Improved Report Format

Added system-wide support of proportional fonts for reports and statements.

Added the ability to include an optional footer with the date and time
and optionally include user initials.

Various reports were completely redesigned to make the reports more readable.
Techniques employed include use of black and gray lines; bold, italics,
and gray text; gray shading of key information; and larger and smaller
fonts than the base font.

Added portrait and landscape orientation options to various reports.

Added the ability to show commas in all numeric fields.

Improved drill-down editing capabilities.

Added a Refresh button to the Preview window providing the ability to refresh

Tabs3 Highlights

data entry program, thus providing better reporting capabilities as well
as the ability to write-up or write-down hours.

New Statement Designer lets you customize statements by allowing you to

New Cost Rate tables let you easily customize rates for cost transactions
by individual matter and client.

Added the ability to configure up to 50 custom fields in the client file.

Integration with CompuLaw Court Rules lets you automatically generate PracticeMaster
Calendar Plans using CompuLaws Court Rules Database software. CompuLaw

the country. Subscribers to CompuLaws Rule Sets receive updates from CompuLaw
whenever there are changes to the subscribed Rule Sets.

Improved WORLDOX integration provides a new option for searching WORLDOX
documents without requiring conflict of interest searching. An Import feature
makes it easy to create PracticeMaster document management records from
WORLDOX document records.
Improved Spell Checking

Added a spell check as you type feature.

Technical and legal dictionaries are now provided with the software.

Auto spell checking when saving transactions is now configurable at the
workstation level vs. the system level.

Added the ability to ignore Internet domain names.

Integration Highlights

Tighter integration with Tabs3, GLS, APS and TAS includes:

Changes and deletions of Tabs3 costs and payments are passed to GLS.

Payment refunds and reversals in Tabs3 are passed to GLS.
-
Write-ups and write-downs of costs in Tabs3 are passed to GLS.
-
Changes and deletions to unpaid APS invoices can be easily made in Tabs3
at the same time.

Improved accrual integration features with Tabs3 and TAS allow posting
journal entries to GLS for Tabs3 accounts receivable, work-in-process,
client funds, and TAS bank account balances.

Improved integration with QuickBooks allows for integration of fees, costs
and clients in Tabs3 when using QBXML and PracticeMaster. QuickBooks integration
can be controlled at the tcode level as well as the client level. Reversing
or deleting payments in Tabs3 will create reversing entries in QuickBooks.
The following Tabs3 programs will now create entries in QuickBooks: Merge
Data Capture Device Transactions, Merge Tabs3 Remote Transactions, Tabs3
cost transactions created in APS, and Tabs3 Palm Costs.
GLS Highlights

Added the ability to select accounts by name.

Added a Batch Number field to the Journal Entry data entry program making
it easier to change and delete journal entries in the same batch.

Added the ability to include a running balance on the General Ledger Report.

Added the ability to track last years budget figures as well as the current
years budget figures for each account. Income Statements and Budget Reports
can include last years budget figures.

Added drill-down editing capabilities to the reports.

Added the ability to add or change a journal entry during Check Reconciliation.

Changed the Check Reconciliation program to no longer be an exclusive task.

GLS data files are now ODBC capable.

A new Post Tabs3/TAS Accrual Balances program can be used to create accrual
journal entries in GLS based on balances from Tabs3 accounts receivable,
work-in-process client funds, and/or TAS bank accounts. For Tabs3 balances,
the journal entries can be firm-wide or by primary timekeeper and are broken
down by fees, expenses, advances, and finance charge. For TAS bank balances,
the journal entries are firm-wide for each specified bank account.

Tabs3 General Ledger Custom Report Writer is now available in a new improved
Windows version.
APS Highlights
