exclusive tasks.

Added mouse wheel support to all Lookup windows and the Preview window.
File Maintenance

Increased the maximum number of indexes for any file to 20. Previously,
the maximum was 6 indexes per file with the exception of the Calendar File,
which had a limit of 20 indexes, and the Journal File, which had a limit
of 16 indexes.

Added the ability to add a Get Weather or Get Map menu button for clients
or related parties on the form layout. These functions open an Internet
Browser window and display a Yahoo! Map or Yahoo! Weather Web site based
on an address.
Outlook Contact Integration

Added the ability to integrate PracticeMaster Related Parties with Microsoft
Outlook Contacts.

Added the ability to specify the Outlook Contact folder you want to integrate
with.

Added the ability to map PracticeMaster Related Party fields to Outlook
Contact fields.

Integration can be configured for One-Way or Two-Way Integration with Microsoft
Outlook. One-Way Integration consists of PracticeMaster automatically writing
Related Party records to the Outlook Contact file when they are saved in
PracticeMaster. Two-Way Integration consists of One-Way Integration plus
the addition of a full two-way Synchronization program that can be run
to pass Outlook contact information to PracticeMaster. You can specify
which contacts you want synchronized:

all Related Parties/Contacts,

Related Parties/Contacts assigned to specific Outlook categories,
-
Related Parties/Contacts with no category,
-
and/or private Outlook Contacts.

Added the ability to synchronize the Start Date field for Outlook tasks
with PracticeMaster task calendar records. In order for the Start Date
field to by synchronized, a special field must be added to the PracticeMaster
Calendar file. Detailed information can be found in our Knowledge Base

CompuLaw Court Rules Database Integration

Added the ability to automatically generate PracticeMaster Calendar Plans
using CompuLaws Court Rules Database software. CompuLaw maintains sets
of court rules for state and federal jurisdictions across the country.
Subscribers to CompuLaws Rule Sets receive updates from CompuLaw whenever
there are changes to the subscribed Rule Sets.

Ability to automatically check and update all existing CompuLaw Calendar
Plan items in PracticeMaster when an update to your Rule Set is received.
You can choose to confirm any necessary changes, or let PracticeMaster
make the changes to existing calendar records without stopping for confirmation.

Ability to create a new CompuLaw Calendar Plan in PracticeMaster based
on an existing calendar record.
QuickBooks Integration

Added the ability to use QuickBooks Remote Data Sharing (RDS), which eliminates
the need to have QuickBooks installed on each workstation that enters data.

Improved integration so that costs and clients can now integrate directly
to QuickBooks from PracticeMaster regardless of whether Tabs3 is being
used or not. Previously, client and cost integration was not available
if Tabs3 was also being used. (Fees do not integrate with QuickBooks when
Tabs3 and PracticeMaster are integrated.)

Added the ability to configure which clients and transaction codes integrate
with QuickBooks.

Added the ability to specify a QuickBooks vendor when adding a cost to
indicate who the check will be written to in QuickBooks.
WORLDOX Integration

Improved WORLDOX integration provides a new option for searching WORLDOX
documents without requiring conflict of interest searching.

An Import feature makes it easy to create PracticeMaster document management
records from WORLDOX document records.
All Reports
-
Added the ability to use proportional fonts.

Added a new Advanced Printing Features window in Printer Setup that lets
you configure the above options and more.

Various reports were completely redesigned to make the reports more readable.
Techniques employed include use of black and gray lines; bold, italics,
and gray text; gray shading of key information; and larger and smaller
fonts than the base font. The Advanced Printing Features window also includes
the ability to allow variable font sizes and styles, allow gray text and
lines as well as configure the gray shade density and gray text/line density.

Added a Refresh button to the Preview window providing the ability to refresh
the data displayed in the Preview window with any changes that were made
since the report was first displayed. This feature lets you display a report,
drill down to a transaction and edit it, and easily refresh the report
without having to rerun the report.

Four-digit years are displayed in all date fields.
Data Entry

Lookup Windows

The Calendar Code lookup window displays each calendar code using the background
and foreground text color assigned to the calendar code. This makes it
easy to find the calendar code you are looking for as well as see which
colors are already used.

Every other row is lightly shaded making it easy to read across the row.
Client File & Related Party File
-
Added the ability to display the weather for a client or related partys
zip code by clicking a Weather button (or right-clicking the record and
selecting the Get Weather menu option from the Action menu). This feature
displays an Internet Browser window with a Yahoo! Weather Web site for
the selected contacts zip code.

by clicking a Map button (or right-clicking a client and selecting the
Get Map menu option from the Action menu). This feature displays an Internet
Browser window with a Yahoo! Map Web site for the selected contacts address.
Related Party File

Increased the number of Related Party Categories that can be assigned to
a Related Party from 4 to 8.
Conflict of Interest Search and Contact Search
-
Added the ability to configure phone, e-mail and user fields for conflict
and contact searching. Previously, only alpha, memo and related party field
types could be configured for conflict and contact searching.

Added the ability to include a . (period) character in the search criteria.
Spell Check
-
Added the option to spell check as you type. When this feature is enabled,
right-clicking a word shown as misspelled displays a new right-click menu
that includes possible replacement words, an Ignore option and an Add to
Dictionary option.

Legal and technical dictionary files are now provided with the software.

Added the ability to ignore Internet domain names (e.g., xyz.com) when
performing a spell check.
-
Added the ability to automatically change words with a specified replacement
instead of receiving a prompt with the suggested replacement when a misspelled
word is encountered.

A single user dictionary can now include words with the following actions:
auto change, conditional change, exclude and ignore. Previously, the words
were grouped into separate dictionaries.

Added the ability to specify the speed and accuracy of the initial search
for suggested replacements for misspelled words.
-
Added the ability for each workstation to specify whether an automatic
spell check is performed when adding transactions. Previously, this option
was a system-wide setting.

Added an Undo button to the Check Spelling dialog box. This button can
be used to undo the previous change when multiple misspelled words are
encountered in a spell checking session.

Added Spell Check, Add/Delete Words and Spell Check Options to the right-click
menu for fields that support spell check.

Eliminated the confirmation message box that is shown when you cancel spell
checking.

Administrator rights are no longer required to spell check on a Windows
NT/2000/XP workstation.
Word Document Assembly

Renamed the toolbar shown in Word from STI Toolbar to PracticeMaster
Toolbar.

As a result, a new CMTEMPLT.DOT file is installed.
Phone Dialer

Added support for international phone fields.

Added support for the Microsoft Outlook phone field format with parentheses
around the area code.
Report Writer
-
Added a String Justify property to Text fields in PracticeMaster to assist
with minor alignment issues that may be introduced when using proportional
fonts. This field is particularly useful for fields and text labels that
are right field justified.

Added the ability to code a continuous solid dash (-) or solid double line
(=) as a separator within a Text field as well as optionally include text
with the separator. Previously, the continuous line separators were available
only in the Heading Line fields.
System Configuration

Added the ability to rename a User ID to a new User ID.
-
Added the ability to reassign a User ID to an existing User ID allowing
you to combine all records associated with a User ID to an existing User
ID in all systems.

Added the ability to mark a User ID as inactive, which removes the User
ID from all User Lookup windows.
PracticeMaster Premier vs. PracticeMaster Basic

Introduced PracticeMaster Premier and PracticeMaster Basic. All existing
PracticeMaster users who convert to Version 11 automatically have PracticeMaster
Premier, which includes all PracticeMaster features.

Added the ability to purchase additional licenses for single users.
